Where your report goes — and how to read it.

Your radiology report goes to the doctor who referred you. You can also view your images and reports yourself via our patient portal.

Where your report goes

By default, your radiologist's written report is sent securely to the doctor who referred you. They receive it through their clinical software (Healthlink / Argus / Medical Objects) the moment the radiologist signs it.

Reports reach your referrer within 48 hours on average. Urgent findings are sent directly to your referrer on the same day.

Viewing your own images and reports

We use Intelerad as our secure patient portal, the same imaging platform used by many clinics and major hospitals. Access is set up on request: ask at the front desk when you leave, or use the form below, and we will email you an invitation to register. From there you can:

  • View your images straight away
  • View your report 5 days after your doctor receives it
  • Download or share the dataset with another specialist
  • Access prior studies done at Border Radiology

Invitations are sent within two business days.

What to do with your report

We strongly suggest booking a follow-up with your referring doctor once the report is back. A radiologist's report describes what we see; your doctor places that in the context of your symptoms, history and treatment plan.

Trouble accessing the portal?

Call reception on (02) 6046 9755 and we'll resend the invitation. Common gotchas: the invitation email going to spam.
