Accessibility
Designed so everyone can use us.
The building, the equipment, and this website — all built around the idea that imaging shouldn't require you to navigate obstacles to access it.
At the clinic
- Level access from Kiewa Street and dedicated accessible parking
- Wheelchair-accessible reception desk and waiting room
- Accessible bathroom on the same floor as every scan room
- Hoist available for transfers between wheelchair and scan table (please let reception know at the time of booking so we can have it ready)
- Quiet rooms and noise-reducing headphones available for patients with sensory sensitivities
For carers and support people
One extra person, such as a carer, support worker or family member, is welcome in the scan room with you for most studies, and an interpreter can come in as well. The radiographer will let you know if there's a safety reason a support person needs to wait in reception during a particular scan.
On this website
We target WCAG 2.1 AA for the entire site:
- Semantic HTML with descriptive labels on every form field
- Keyboard-navigable throughout — every interactive element is focusable and has a visible focus ring
- Colour contrast verified against the brand palette (4.5:1 or better for body text)
- Respects
prefers-reduced-motion— animations are suppressed for users who've requested it - Alt text on every meaningful image; decorative imagery marked appropriately
- No auto-playing audio, video or carousels
